Anyone else in the center of this mess on the east coast?  There's like 2 feet of snow on my apartment's front porch.

Stay safe everyone, don't travel unless you have to!

Yikes. Thankfully, that's a 100+ year snowstorm for us down here and we've already had ours for my lifetime ('93) . Stay warm!

IG and I were hit by the bulk of it here in Columbia. The total according to Wikipedia was 33.4", almost three feet! We spent all of yesterday by the fireplace.

Today we had a fun time cleaning off our car, paid some neighbourhood kids to help. We didn't loose power but my aunt in Arlington did. Tomorrow we'll be on the road again, since I have a certification exam near Baltimore. Fun!

It's so weird seeing everyone else get snow. We normally get pounded (NY) and I think that we have hardly seen a foot of snow this year. We have had a lot of temps below zero though, which is probably why we haven't gotten much snow.

I'm still waiting for our snowstorm, although I don't really want it.

Good Grief. I feel so bored. I'm sick of being shut up in the house and hospital after being sick. Now I feel like going shopping or something and it's freaking snowing and sleeting outside!

took two days for my husband to get to Washington DC for a 3 day meeting .... alas, a government meeting so it was called off for Monday and now Tuesday. He's trying to get a flight back home but airports are going to shut down again!

That's so funny - I had a meeting today (Monday) too. But I called and told them there was NO way I was gonna make it driving. They cancelled the whole thing about 6 hours after I called to say I couldn't go. I'm sorry your husband still had to go! I hope he is able to get back soon and travel safely. I'll be thinking of him - this has really made the east come to a stand still.

Laura, I hope he makes it out before today's storm! Yikes. They're predicting another 6 - 18" (depending on location) starting this afternoon. Most should fall later tonight. My husband's trip was canceled. Everyone in my office is working from home. Thanks to conference calls and web-meetings!! ~Juliet
